It's Here!
UFCW
5 YoungWorkers Program
UFCW Local 5
is proud to announce its new Young Worker Program
focused on involving the Union’s talented youth. Our
goal is to incorporate, involve and empower members. We
want our young members to know their rights in the
workplace and understand their ability and potential for
affecting change. Through collective action and
community involvement, we can bring focus to young
workers' issues and concerns. Local 5 believes it is
imperative that our young members are prepared to lead
this Union in the future.
The
program will serve as a resource for two groups of
people:
-
Union members 18-35 years old who are interested
in learning and becoming more involved with our
union, and
-
Children of union members. We Need You! We need
your input! We need your opinions! We need your
ideas! We need your involvement!
Local 5
is kicking off our Young Workers Program with our new
Young Workers blog site. Check it out and let your voice
be heard.
