Local 5 Political Department
The
Local 5 Political Department is dedicating all of its
efforts to the November 4 election.
The
department has sent rank and file members and staff to
key battle ground states. Our efforts were so effective
in Michigan that shortly after our arrival the McCain
campaign capitulated and left. With that development
personnel were redeployed to Ohio, another key prize on
the road to the White House.
Of
course, all politics are local and the union has not
lost sight of that. Programs are being run out of the
local's various area offices to get out the vote. Your
opportunity to get involved and make history begins here.
